Ingredients
4 tablespoons of sugar
4 tablespoons of chocolate powder
2 tablespoons of butter
4 tablespoons of milk
Directions
- In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, chocolate powder, butter and milk.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the butter has melted and the mixture is well combined and begins to boil.
- Reduce heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. This will help thicken the frosting.
- After 2 minutes, remove the pan from the heat and pour the still hot icing over the already baked and cooled carrot cake.
- Spread the frosting evenly over the cake, let it cool and set slightly before serving.
