Ingredients
500g of cleaned shrimp
1 medium onion chopped
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon of butter or olive oil
1 can of cream
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup chopped mushrooms (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup brandy or white wine (optional)
Chopped parsley to decorate
Directions
- In a large skillet, heat the butter or olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until soft and translucent.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they are pink and opaque.
- If you are using brandy or white wine, add it to the pan and flame. Wait until the alcohol evaporates.
- Add the tomato sauce, ketchup and mushrooms (if using). Mix well.
- Reduce the heat and add the cream. Stir until the sauce is well incorporated and heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the shrimp stroganoff hot, accompanied by white rice and straw potatoes.
- Finish with chopped parsley on top to decorate.
