Universal Pictures and Working Title have launched development on a new installment of the franchise Bridget Jones last April. This is a fourth film entitled Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boywith the return of Renée Zellweger in one of his most beloved roles.

The latest development surrounding the project is the launch of its marketing campaign with the presentation of its promotional poster, focused on Bridget Jones.

In addition to Zellweger, the cast includes the returns of Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson. Gemma Jones y Jim Broadbent reprise their roles as Bridget Jones' mom and dad, respectively. Sarah Solemani, Sally Phillips, Shirley Henderson y James Callis return to bring Bridget's friends to life. Neil Pearson, Joanna Scanlan y Celia Imrie are other returning members.

New additions to the franchise include Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave, Love, Actually), Leo Woodall (The White Lotus, One Day), Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers, Tag), Nico Parker (The Last of Us, Dumbo), Josette Simon (Anatomy of a Scandal), y Leila Farzad (Black Mirror: Joan is Awful).

The film, adapted from Helen Fielding's bestseller, is directed by Michael Morris (Better Call Saul, To Leslie), with a script of Fielding, Abi Morgan y And Mazer.

The rom-com franchise, made up of Bridget Jone’s Diary (2001), Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004), y Bridget Jone’s Baby (2016), has grossed more than $760 million at the global box office.

Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, and Jo Wallett will produce for Working Title Films, with Amelia Granger and Sarah-Jane Wright serving as executive producers. Helen Fielding will also serve as executive producers. StudioCanal will co-finance and co-distribute in select international markets. Miramax is also a co-financer.

Universal Pictures has set the film's worldwide theatrical release for February 14, 2025In the United States, it will also premiere simultaneously on Peacock.
