Paramount+ revealed the First official trailer for the second season from the drama and spy series, Lioness from the creator Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, Sicario), previously titled Special Ops: Lioness.
In addition to the trailer, the streamer announced that The premiere of the second season was set for Sunday, October 27, 2024, with the release of the first two episodes via Paramount Plus in all markets where the service is available.
The trailer shows the return of the protagonist Zoe Saldana, Nicole Kidman, Michael Kelly, Thad Luckinbill, Dave Annabley Morgan FreemanAlso featured is the new recruit for the CIA's Lioness program, played by Genesis Rodriguez (The Umbrella Academy, Big Hero 6: The Series).
The series' plot is inspired by a real-life American military program, which follows the life of Joe (Saldaña) as he tries to balance his personal and professional life as the CIA's spearhead in the war on terror.
In the preview, available at the end of this note, we hear Saldaña in voice-over say, “There is no such thing as a moral war. There is survival and there is surrender”
“Do you love your country?”Joe (Saldaña) asks the new recruit. “Your country needs more.”
Filming for the second season is currently taking place in Texas.
The rest of the cast is made up of Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hebert, Jonah Whatony Hannah Love Lanier.
Laysla De Oliveirastar of the first season, is also back.

“As the CIA's fight against terrorism draws closer to home, Joe, Kaitlyn and Byron recruit Agent Lioness to infiltrate a previously unknown threat. With mounting pressure from all sides, Joe is forced to confront the deep personal sacrifices she's made as the leader of the Lioness program.”
The first season of Lioness set a record as the streamer’s most-watched series premiere globally on its launch day, with nearly 6 million total viewers in its first week on Paramount+ globally and in a linear preview on Paramount Network.
Lioness is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.
