The plot of Red One centers on North Pole security chief Callum Drift (Johnson) and mischievous Jack O'Malley (Evans), who team up after the disappearance of Santa Claus, known as the “Red One” (played by J.K. Simmons).

After Santa Claus – Code Name: RED SUIT – is kidnapped, the North Pole's Chief of Security (Dwayne Johnson) must team up with the world's most infamous bounty hunter (Chris Evans) on an action-packed, globe-trotting mission to save Christmas.
The rest of the cast is made up of Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Lucy Liu (Elemental, Shazam! Fury of Gods), Mary Elizabeth Ellis (Licorice Pizza), Nick Kroll (Don’t Worry, Darling), Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones) y Bonnie Hunt (Cheaper by the Dozen, Jumanji).
Kasdan directed the film from a script by Chris Morgan (Fast & Furious 7, Shazam! Fury of the Gods), based on a story by Hiram Garcia, who is president of The Rock's production company, Seven Bucks Productions.

Amazon MGM Studios has set the theatrical release of Red One to November 7 in all Latin American markets and November 15, 2024 in the United States and Canada.
