In November this year, HBO takes us back to the science fiction universe, Dunewith the premiere of the prequel series, Dune: Prophecy.
This project is coming after the theatrical release of the sequel Dune: Part Two by Denis Villeneuve last February, which became a box office and critical success. By the way, Villeneuve is already working on the next installment, Dune: Messiah.
The prequel series Dune, de la showrunner Alison Schapker, revolves around the life of the Bene Gesserit. The plot is set 10,000 years before the time of Timothée Chalamet's Paul Atreides.
The mysteries of the Bene Gesserit are not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.
The series stars Emily Watson (Small Things Like These, Chernobyl) y Olivia Williams (The Crown, The Sixth Sense), as the driving force of the Bene Gesserit, Valya Harkonnen (Watson) and Tula Harkonnen (Williams), both biological sisters and members of this new brotherhood.
They accompany them Mark Strong (1917, Tar), Camilla Beeput (Hijack, A Gentleman in Moscow), Sarah Lam (Back to Life, Casualty), Travis Fimmel (Vikings, Raised by Wolves), Jodhi May (The Witcher, Gentleman Jack), Jade Anouka (His Dark Materials, Fool Me Once), Sarah-Sofie Boussnina (The Colony, Knightfall), y Chris Mason (Riverdale, Dirty John).
Dune: Prophecy will reveal the origins of the witch brotherhood while delving into another politically tense chapter in the universe of Dune.
