Trailer for 'One of Them Days', the Rated R comedy with Keke Palmer and SZA

Sony Pictures released the first official trailer for the comedy One of Them Daysa Rated R “buddy film,” starring Keke Palmer (Nope, Hustlers) y SZAmarking the Grammy winner's film acting debut.

Another debut is that of Lawrence Lamont (Rap Sh!t) as a feature film director. The script was written by Syreeta Singleton (Rap Sh!t, Insecure, Central Park).

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:

“Best friends and roommates Dreux (Keke Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA) are about to experience one of those days. When they discover that Alyssa's boyfriend has spent their rent money, the duo is forced to do the impossible in a comical race against time to avoid eviction and keep their friendship intact.

The trailer, appropriately accompanied by the song “Best Friend” by SZA, shows some of the fun situations in which they will be involved to achieve their goal, such as climbing a telephone pole to recover a pair of valuable Jordans, applying for a loan with a low credit score, and donate blood.

Palmer and SZA join the cast for Lil Rel Howery (Get Out, Vacation Friends), Janelle James (Abbott Elementary, Central Park), Keyla Monterroso Mejía (Abbott Elementary, Freeridge), Maude Apatow (Euphoria), Katt Williams (Atlanta, Scary Movie 5), Joshua Neal (A Black Lady Sketch Show), Aziza Scott (Home Before Dark), Patrick Cage (Mayor of Kingstown, Rap Sh!t), Dewayne Perkins (The Blackening, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Amin Joseph (Snowfall, Justified: City Primeval), Gabrielle Dennis (A Black Lady Sketch Show, Luke Cage), y DomiNque Perry (Rap Sh!t, Insecure).

The feature film is produced by Hoorae, Issa Rae's company. Previously, Rae, Singleton and Lamont collaborated on the series Rap Sh!t.

Producers are Rae, Sara Diya Rastogi, Deniese Davis, Charles D. King, James Lopez, and Poppy Hanks. Singleton is co-producer. Palmer executive produces with Sharon Palmer and Jeff Valeri.

The project was conceived at Sony Pictures' CoCre, a collaboration between ColorCreative and Sony Pictures to help diverse and promising screenwriters develop their first original studio features.
