The dark comedy thriller In bad days (2021) by Tommy Wirkola, will be subjected to a remake titled The Trip which will have a luxury leading cast.
According to reports from Variety, Jason Segel (Shrinking), Samara Weaving (Ready Or Not), Timothy Olyphant (Justified) y Juliette Lewis (Yellowjackets), will star in the English-language version, which will be directed by Jorma Taccone (Pop Star: Never Stop Stopping, MacGruber), member of Lonely Island.
The film follows a dysfunctional couple (Segel and Weaving) who head to a remote cabin to supposedly reunite, but each has secret plans to kill the other.
Paul Guilfoyle (LA Confidential) and the former UFC, Keith Jardine (Inherent Vice) also appear in the film.
Filming is underway right now in Tampere, Finland.
The script was adapted by Nick Kocher y Brian McElhaney from the Norwegian thriller I Onde Danger by Wirkola. This feature film was produced by Jørgen Storm Rosenberg and Kjetil Omberg, and financed by XYZ with IPR.
Rosenberg and Omberg will executive produce The Trip along with Taccone and Tommy Wirkola. The producers are Kelly McCormick (The Fall Guy, Nobody), Lee Kim (Dual), y Guy Danella (Violent Night). Karen Gillan is co-producer.
