Sony Pictures continues to prepare the audience for the theatrical release of Kraven the Hunterthe new film from Sony's Marvel universe and the first to be Rated R.
The studio released the opening scene of the film, posting the 8-minute sequence online. The video is available at the end of this note.
The film focuses on the origin story of Kraven (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson), promising to accompany it with violent and bloody scenes.
It's no surprise then that the Motion Picture Association (MPA) gave it an R rating for:
“Strong, bloody violence, and inappropriate language.”
The rest of the cast is made up Ariana DeBose (West Side Story, House of Spoils) like Calypso, Christopher Abbott (Wolf Man, Possessor) como The Foreigner, Alessandro Nivola (The Many Saints of Newark) as The Rhino, Fred Hechinger (Gladiator II, The White Lotus) y Russell Crowe (Gladiator, Unhinged).

“Kraven the Hunter is the visceral story of how and why one of Marvel's most iconic villains came to be. Set before his notorious vendetta with Spider-Man, Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays the titular character in the R-rated film.
J.C. Chandor (Margin Call, All Is Lost, A Most Violent Year, Triple Frontier) directs the script of Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (Uncharted, Transformers: The Last Knight), y Richard Wenk (The Equalizer, The Equalizer 2).
After many changes to the release schedule, Sony's Columbia Pictures will release Kraven The Hunter he December 13, 2024.
