Last February, it was announced that the horror franchise Evil Dead of Sam Raimigave the green light to the development of a new spinoff under the command of Sébastien Vaniček as director and co-writer.
It is precisely the filmmaker who revealed the official title of the installment through a publication on Instagram where the first page of the script can be seen. The next installment is titled Evil Dead Burn. In the same post the director announced that The film will be released in 2026.
Details of the film's plot remain under lock and key for now.
Speaking about his project with Konbini, Vaniček said:
“I told the studio that I wanted to make an unpleasant movie, a movie that hurts, from which you come away proven. “I'm going to put all the horror I have inside, it will be cathartic, and if I haven't ruined my career and I can continue making movies, I'll move on to something that's not horror!”
Vaniček will direct the script co-written with Florent Bernard.
Raimi and Robert Tapert's Ghost House Pictures will produce the spinoff.

Infested it won Best Picture and Best Director in its North American premiere at Fantastic Fest, and was also invited to the Sitges Film Festival, where it earned a Best Picture nomination and won a Special Jury Prize.

The Evil Dead Raimi's original, was released in 1981, and focused on Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell), a combatant of various supernatural entities. That film became a trilogy, and would later create the original Starz series, Ash vs. Evil Dead.
