Paramount Pictures has great news for fans of the franchise Sonic the Hedgehogwell he has just announced having given green light for the development of Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
The studio plans to release the fourth installment of Sonic in spring 2027 in theaters from around the world (via Variety). Plot details are currently being kept under lock and key.
The news is shared in the run-up to the big screen premiere of Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The film marks the cinematic debut of Shadow, one of Sonic's enemies, considered in many ways the anti-Sonic.
