Soon, the production will move to Sicily, to Favignana Island, where according to scholars, it served for Odysseus's wandering in Homer's epic. It is believed to be the place where Homer imagined that Odysseus would disembark with his diverse tribulation to roast goats and stock up on food. The island, also known as “The Island of Las Cabras” is part of the archipelago of the Egadi Islands, off the northwest coast of Sicily.

Homer's old Greek poem, composed around the thirteenth century, tells the story of Odysseus, king of Ithaca, and his dangerous trip back home after the Trojan War, exploring songs of heroism, loyalty, cunning and the fight against divine will. The story includes iconic episodes such as his encounters with the Cyclope Polyphemus, the Sirens and the goddess Bruja Circe, who culminate with his reunion with his wife, Penelope.
The Oddisey It was previously adapted in the Italian film Ulysses by director Mario Camerini and the protagonist Kirk Douglas. In 1997, Andrei Konchalovsky adapted it in Miniseries format with Armand Assante in the main role. The most recent adaptation is the newly released film in cinemas The Return by Uberto Pasolini, with Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche in leading roles.
The release of the film will include IMAX format. IMAX CEO, Richard Gelfond, told Variety that the filmmaker will experience with “New IMAX technology,” and “Team never used before.”
Nolan wrote the script and direct the feature film that will be distributed by Universal Pictures, as happened with the acclaimed Oppenheimer.
