Noah Baumbach He returns this year with a new film project entitled Jay Kellyand coming-of-age starring George Clooney, Laura Dern y Adam Sandler.
Baumbach directs the feature film with a co -written script with the actress Emily Mortimer.
The story is focused on a famous actor, Jay Kelly (Clooney), his publicist Liz (DERN), and his manager, Ron (Sandler). Jay and Ron travel through Europe, reflecting on their past decisions, their relationships and the legacy they will leave.
The Vanity Fair medium shared the first exclusive eyes to the film, showing the protagonists in their characters and offering a look at the tone and style of the film.
The secondary cast is equally interesting as the main one, with Billy Crudup (The Morning Show), Riley Keough (Under the Bridge), Stacy Keach (Blue Bloods), Jim Broadbent (Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy), Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring), Isla Fisher (Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy), your own Emily Mortimer (Relic), y Greta Gerwig.
According to Vanity Fair, the film promises a mixture of emotional moments and humor, capturing the complicated link between friends who face the fame and challenges of life.
The project was announced in December 2023 as part of the Baumbach agreement with Netflix. Production began in March 2024, in New York City, London, and Tuscany. The film was filmed in 35 mm under the hand of photography director Linus Sandgren.
Jay Kelly He will celebrate its World Cup premiere in the 82nd edition of the Venice Film Festival on August 28, 2025, in competition for the Golden Lion.
Later you will have a limited premiere in selected cinemas, on November 14, and finally the world will have its world premiere December 5 in Netflix worldwide.
