The SXSW Festival (South By Southwest Festival) took a pleasant surprise by celebrating last March the World Premiere for a horror project that is giving much to talk about this year.
It's about Good Boya Independent horror movie that presents one innovative proposal when narrated from the perspective of a dog.
After its world premiere on SXSW 2025, the director's film Ben Leonberg It was selected by IFC y Shudder to distribute it on American soil. Thus, the marketing campaign starts with the First official trailer.

This is the premise of Good Boy:
“Indy, a faithful dog moves to a rural family house with its owner Todd. Shortly after moving, Indy feels immediately tormented by empty corners, tracks an invisible present that only he can see, and are tormented by visions of the gloomy death of the anterior occupant. While dark entities threaten his human partner with being dragged to the beyond, the brave puppy must fight to protect those who love those who love those who love those who love them.
The cast includes Indy, Shane Jensen, Larry Fessenden, Arielle Friedmany Mom Krawcheck.
Leonberg directs the script he co -written with Alex Cannon.
The producers are Leonberg and Kari Fischer.
Regarding his unique project, Leonberg previously declared FilmMaker magazine:
“This is not Air Bud in Lassiewhere the dog is always carefree, clearly acting for food or listening to a trainer offside. My goal was for Indy to behave and act realisticallyor as realistic as possible, given the supernatural events of the film. He is not imbued with a voice or guided by abstract thinking, but for instinct, sensation and simple reasoning”.
IFC plans the premiere of Good Boy In cinemas for October 3, 2025.
