Within a few weeks we will have the premiere in cinemas of the crime and action thriller One Battle After Another of Paul Thomas Andersonmarking the first collaboration between the filmmaker and its protagonist Leonardo DiCaprio.
The film focuses on a group of radical revolutionaries known as the French 75 They dissolved more than a decade ago, but they return to action once an ancient enemy reappears.
The most recent in the marketing campaign is the official poster, available at the end of the note. In our market the film is titled, One battle after another.
In addition to DiCaprio, the cast includes heavyweights such as Benicio del Toro (The Phoenician Scheme, Sicario), Sean Penn (Gaslit, Licorice Pizza), Regina Hall (Nine Perfect Strangers), Teyana Taylor (Straw, Coming 2 America), y Chase Infiniti (Presumed Innocent).
DiCaprio plays the exactivist Bob Ferguson, who now lives held and is known as “Ghetto Pat”. Infiniti, the Apple TV+series star, Presumed Innocenthe plays his teenage daughter, now a budding revolutionary who is still maturing in the middle of the last battle of the group.
Penn plays Colonel Steven J. Lockjaw, the greatest adversary of the group and a white supremacist driven by hatred, with Taylor, Hall and Del Toro as former Bob comrades.

“When his evil enemy reappears after 16 years, a group of exrevolutionaries meets to rescue the daughter of one of them.”
The composer Johnny Greenwood again collaborates with Anderson in the original soundtrack of the film.
Anderson filmed the movie in 35mm and Vistvision cameras in California in 2024.
Apparently, the tenth feature film of Anderson will not be presented at the film festivals circuit this year, since it was absent from the announcement of the Lineup of the Venice Film Festival and the TIFF. Nor will it be in the New York Film Festival, since its cinemas premiere coincides with the opening day of the NYFF.
Warner Bros. plans the premiere of One battle after another to September 25only in cinemas.
