In case you are not aware, we tell you that 20th Century Studios is preparing a 1992 psychologic thriller remake, The Hand That Rocks the Cradlebetter known in our market as THE HAND MEED THE CRAF.
The marketing campaign starts officially, with The first official glances to the project starring Maika Monroe (Longlegs, It Follows) like Polly, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane, Final Destination 3) As Caitlin Morales, shared by People Magazine.
The new version is directed by the Mexican filmmaker Michelle Garza Cervera (BUEERA, MEXICO Bárbaro II), with script written by Micah Bloomberg (Homecoming, Sanctuary).

Polly (Monroe) is a seemingly sweet nanny, hired by the suburbs couple, Caitlin and Miguel Morales (Castillo) to take care of the couple's baby. “But the true motifs of Polly have very little to do with singing cradle,” explains the media.
The original film follows Rebecca de Mainay playing “a twisted widow who, anguished for losing her own baby, is introduced into a family like a nanny, with the ultimate goal of staying with the children and the husband.” Annabella Sciorra played the mother.
Director Garza Cervera explains that Although it is a remake of the 1992 film, this is not a “coal copy”and promises many “shocking moments.”
“The study gave me all the opportunities to recreate everything and create a new story, with new characters and with its own essence. I think it was the best way to honor the original, not try to rebuild it. We created a completely different thriller. In fact, it is rather of slow development.”
One of the changes is the atmosphere, which He moves from Seattle to Los Angeles. Garza Cervera says that characters have different and more complex background stories.
“Instead of having only one victim and an aggressor, both are in gray areas,” he says about Polly and Caitlin. “I love the antagonists with whom, at some point, you can empathize. So a very interesting game is created, such as Yin and Yang, among them.”
The filmmaker says that the two protagonists share a chemistry that gives their characters a multi -layer dynamic:
“It is very interesting to see, because in a moment you even feel that they could be attracted to each other.”
For fans of the original, some were included easter eggs:
