Netflix published the first teaser trailer of the action thriller The Ripof the screenwriter and director Joe Carnahanwhich brings together friends on screen Matt Damon y Ben Affleck.
The cast of the film also includes Steven Yeun (Mickey 17, Nope), Teyana Taylor (One Battle After Another), Sasha Calle (Flash), Catalina Sandino Moreno (Ballerina), Scott Adkins (John Wick 4), Nestor Carbonell (The Morning Show), y Kyle Chandler (Back in Action, Lanterns).
Official synopsis:
“The finding of millions of dollars in cash in an abandoned deposit is diluting loyalty between a group of Miami police. When the rumor of the juicy loot is run, everything changes …, and nobody knows who to trust.”
The advance, available at the end of the note, shows the ingenious and characteristic dialogues of the screenwriter and director, as well as morally compromised characters, along with a first -time cast.
According to Carnahan, the term “RIP” refers to an seizure of cash, drugs or weapons.
“The Rip It arose from a deep personal experience that my friend lived, both as a father and head of tactical narcotics of the Miami-Dade Police Department. She is inspired by her life and, then, in my unwavering love for those classics of the police thriller of the 70s who really valued the interpersonal characters and relationships and became referents of that time: movies like Snake y Prince of the City And, more recently, Heat De Michael Mann ”.
The film marks the first collaboration between Netflix and Artists Equity by Damon & Affleck. It is produced by the duo, along with Dani Bernfeld and Luciana Damon. The executive producers are Kevin Halloran and Michael Joe for Artists Equity.
The Rip It opens Globally in Netflix on January 16, 2026.
