Amazon MGM Studios started the marketing campaign for the thriller Crime 101from co-writer and director Bart Layton.

The film adapts the short story of the same name by Don Winslow. Layton co-wrote the script with Peter Straughan.

The project features an all-star cast, including Chris Hemsworth (Thor: Love and Thunder), the Oscar winner, Halle Berry (Never Let Go), Mark Ruffalo (Task), Barry Keoghan (Saltburn), Monica Barbaro (A Complete Unknown), Corey Hawkins (The Tragedy of Macbeth), Jennifer Jason Leigh (serie Fargo), Tate Donovan (The Holdovers), Nick Nolte (Die My Love).

The plot centers on detective Lou Lubesnick, who is on the trail of a jewel thief following the rules of 'Crime 101'a strict set of guidelines for the perfect heist.

Los first official looks at the cast shared by Esquire are available at the end of the note.

This is Layton's first feature film since the release of American Animals (2018).

Producers are Layton, Hemsworth, Tim Bevan, Dimitri Doganis, Eric Fellner, Benjamin Grayson, Derrin Schlesinger, with executive producers Joely Fether, Shane Salerno and Bergen Swanson.

Over the years, filmmakers such as Martin Scorsese, Ridley Scott and James Mangold have attempted, unsuccessfully, to adapt Winslow's novels for the big screen. The Hollywood industry has not yet hit the nail on the head. Will Layton finally make it?

We will know when Crime 101 I arrived in theaters on February 13, 2026.
