Netflix renews 'Nobody Wants This' for a third season

Good news to all fans of the popular romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This.

Netflix has renewed the rom-com for a third season with premiere scheduled for 2026reported Netflix Tudum.

The news becomes official 12 days after the premiere of the second season on the streamer, on October 23.

The hit series created by Erin Fosterknown in our country as Nobody wants thisstars Kristen Bell (The Good Place) y Adam Brody (The O.C.). The plot centers on the unexpected relationship between a rabbi, Noah (Brody) and an agnostic woman, Joanne (Bell).

The second season has accumulated 18 million views (in the period from October 23 to November 2) worldwide, remaining in the first place in Netflix's global Top 10 English-language series for two consecutive weeksand reaching the Top 10 in 82 countries.

The first season accumulated 26.2 million views in the same period (its first 11 days of availability on the platform), however, the second season is still considered a success by Netflix standards. The plot of the second season explores the natural course of a relationship, primarily chronicling the couple's efforts to integrate their lives, this after the first season featured an intense storyline in which Joanne and Noah met, fell in love, and broke up briefly before reconciling.

The second season of Nobody Wants This It also achieved what Netflix executives expected: returned the first season to the Top 10reaching number 7 the week of October 27. With this return, the first season has spent a total of 8 weeks in the Top 10 and has reached the Top 10 in 89 countries.

In a press release, Foster stated the following about the renewal:

“I'm very excited to start the third season of this series. It's a privilege to be able to write about my favorite couple on this scale. As long as I don't take up too much time from watching reality shows at night, I'll do it as long as they want!”

The series will continue to be filmed in Los Angeles.

Jenny Conner (Girls) y Bruce Eric Kaplan They will repeat as coshowrunners in the third season, after debuting in that role in the second.

Konner and Kaplan stated:

Erin Foster, Sara Foster, Kristen Bell, Steven Levitan and Oly Obst are executive producers alongside Danielle Stokdyk, Jeff Morton, Kaplan, Konner, and Nora Silver.

20th Television produces the series.

The main cast is made up of Bell, Brody, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simmons, Jackie Tohn, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcok, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Emily Arlook, Sherry Colay Shiloh Berman.

Some of the guest stars from the second season were Seth Rogen (The Studio), Miles Fowler, Alex Karpovsky, Arian Moayed, Kate Berlantand the anticipated participation of Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl).
