Kyle Gallner to star in survival horror thriller 'Man Vs'

Kyle Gallner will continue down the path of terror.

The actor, known for films such as Smile y Strange Darlingwill star in the horror and survival thriller with monsters Man Vsfor which he also wrote the script, reported Deadline.

The project will be produced by Roy Lee (Weapons) and Steven Schneider (Insidious) para Spooky Pictures; Chad Villella by Radio Silence (Ready or Not, Scream 5, Scream 6); y Stephen Braun y Ross Putman de Bee-Hive Productions (Sacramento). Executive producers are Tyler Gillet and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin of Radio Silence, Ben Ross (Late Night with the Devil) and Josh Goldbloom (V/H/S/Beyond).

Justin Martinez (V/H/S/Beyond, Southbound) will be the director. Martinez is the co-founder of Radio Silence. Martinez has worked as a VFX artist and supervisor on the franchise V/H/S, Terrifier 3 y Devil’s Due.

David Garret of Mister Smith Entertainment will be responsible for bringing the project to the American Film Market (AMF).

The outlet shared the following synopsis:

“Betrayed and left to fend for himself in an unforgiving Rocky Mountain winter, an injured gold rush miner (Gallner) must use everything in his power to survive the elements, wild animals, and an ancient and imminent danger far more terrifying than he could ever imagine.”

Martinez stated in a press release:

“Man Vs It takes everything I love about a survival movie and takes it to another level. “Kyle has written a fantastic creature feature and I’m excited to bring it to life for the world.”

Gallner is no stranger to horror film projects and their subgenres. The actor has opted for genre films throughout his filmography, being part of Jennifer’s Body (2009), the reboot A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), The Master Cleanse (2012), The Cleansing Hour (2019), the relaunch of Scream (2022) –directed and produced by Radio Silence–, Smile (2022) and its sequel Smile 2 (2024), Strange Darling (2023), Mother, May I? (2023), and this year's, Just Breathe (2025).
