The short film Hot Mother of Lucy Knoxwill become a feature film and with a couple of star protagonists.
The Oscar nominee, Toni Collette (Hereditary, Knives Out) y Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon, Supergirl) have been announced as the protagonists of the film project that will be directed by Knox herselfmarking her feature film directorial debut, according to Deadline reports.
The short film, written and directed by Knox, celebrated its premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2020.
In the survival thriller, Hot Mother, a mother and her daughter visit a remote spa during the weekend to try to reconnect. But their time together quickly turns in a physical and psychological fight for survival when they get trapped in a sauna where no one can hear your cries for help.

The Australian production will be produced by Sarah Shaw and Anna McLeish of Carver Films, and Alex Coco (Anora, The Florida Project) the Rapt Films. Carver Films ha producido Run Rabbit Run (2023), Relic (2020) y Snowtown (2011).

Collette is a renowned actress who has starred in projects such as Muriel’s Wedding, The Sixth Sense, About a Boy, The Hours, Little Miss Sunshine, Knives Out, Hereditary. More recently we saw it in Juror #2, Mickey 17and the miniseries Tall Pines the Netflix.
Alcock, for his part, gained recognition from the mainstream audience as part of House of the Dragona prequel series Game of Thrones. This year he starred in the miniseries sirens from Netflix, and had a cameo in Superman by James Gunn, in preparation for his leading role in Supergirlwhich will be released in theaters in 2026.
