Paramount Pictures continues to prepare audiences for the theatrical release of the franchise relaunch Scary Movie of the Wayans brotherssharing a new official poster.

By the way, the sixth installment that we previously referred to as Scary Movie 6is adopting the formula of many other horror franchises that have been relaunched in recent times, and will not use the numeral in the title, going to be called simply, Scary Movie.

The poster shared by the studio gives a taste of the films that will be victims of parodies in this new sequel, in a poster that shows the heads of several of the protagonists and characters, displayed on a metal sales shelf winking at M3GAN, Terrifier, Longlegs, Wednesday, Squid Games, Ma, Halloweenand his main inspiration since the beginning of the saga, Scream.

Additionally, we know that there will be parodies of I Know What You Did Last Summer, Friday the 13th, Get Out, The Substance, Weaponsand more.

Scary Movie includes the return of many familiar faces from the saga, such as the case of Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Regina Hall, Anna Faris, Lochlyn Monroe, Dave Sheridan, Jon Abrahams, Cheri Oteri y Chris Elliott.

The film will poke fun at politics and “woke” culture, and has promised “cross all the lines”.

Scary Movie 6 mark the first reunion of the Wayans brothers on a franchise project in 18 years.

Keenen Ivory was the director of the first two installments, while Marlon and Shawn were screenwriters and stars of the first two installments. The Wayans Brothers did not participate in the next three installments.

Paramount Pictures and Miramax are the studios that support Scary Movie 6. The sequel comes as part of Paramount's first partnership with Miramax, the studio behind the film franchise.

Miramax fully financed the production, and Paramount is handling distribution. Miramax produces with Jonathan Glickman, Alexandra Lowey and Thom Zadra serving as executive producers.

The five installments that make up the saga so far have raised more than $896 million dollars worldwide, so the new installment could push the global total to over $1 billionjoining a very small group of horror sagas that have collected more than a billion at the global box office (The Conjuring, Alien, Resident Evil, IT, Saw y Scream).

Paramount Pictures plans to premiere of Scary Movie in theaters on June 5, 2026.
