The night of UFC Seattle, this Saturday (28), was marked by an unusual moment. Famous announcer Bruce Buffer, voice of Ultimate for almost 30 years, announced the wrong winner of the fight between heavyweights Tyrell Fortune and Marcin Tybura, on the preliminary card.

Fighting at home, North American Tyrell Fortune was making his UFC debut and won by unanimous decision from the judges, with scores of 29-28, 29-28 and 30-27. Bruce read the scorecards correctly, but reversed the result, favoring Tybura.
Even the Pole expressed surprise when his arm was raised, not believing he had won the fight. Tyrell left the octagon disappointed, before the mess was even resolved. Before reaching the locker room, he was intercepted by the organization's team and called back.

— I was so upset with myself, I thought I hadn't done enough, I was questioning myself. I was upset,” Tyrell said, after the ups and downs of the night.
Bruce Buffer apologized for the misunderstanding, owned up to the mistake and announced the correct winner.

Presence in the ranking
Despite the turmoil surrounding the result announcement, Tyrell Fortune had a positive debut in Ultimate. Called up just two weeks before the event, to replace Brazilian Valter Walker, the American is expected to debut in the heavyweight rankings. This Saturday's rival was ranked 9th before the event.
