'Scream 7' destroys the box office, surpassing $200 million worldwide

Scream 7 continues destroying the box office on its tour of cinemas around the world.

The slasher sequel from Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group has officially surpassed the $200 million mark at the global box officebecoming the first installment in the history of the 30-year franchise to reach this milestone (via official Paramount site).

The exact global box office figure is $204.3 million, consolidating its position as the highest grossing installment of the sagaa record it reached a couple of weeks ago by surpassing the total global box office of $173 million dollars accumulated by the original 1996 installment, Scream (without adjustments for inflation).

Scream 7 It completed its fifth weekend of release in theaters.

The budget for this installment was $45 million dollars ($10 million more than the sixth film) plus marketing costs.
