Black Bear Pictures y NEON They continue to prepare the audience for the theatrical release of the horror project, Hokumfrom the screenwriter and director Damian McCarthy (Caveat, Oddity).
This will be one of many exciting films of the genre hitting theaters in May.
McCarthy's new film delves deep into folkloric horrorwith a story that follows novelist Ohm Bauman (played by Adam Scott of Severance), who retreats to a remote inn to scatter his parents' ashes, where he is consumed by stories of a witch who haunts the bridal suite. Disturbing visions and a shocking disappearance force him to confront the darkest corners of his past.

The cast also includes Peter Coonan (Bad Sisters), David Wilmot (Hamnet), Austin Amelio (When No One See Us), Will O’Connell (Game of Thrones), y Florence Ordesh (Foundation).
NEON is the studio behind proposals in the horror genre such as Longlegs, Immaculate, Cuckoo, The Monkey, Together, Shelby Oaks.
The study took Hokum to the SXSW 2026 Festival last March, where it celebrated its world premiere.
The film is produced by Roy Lee y Steven Schneiderproducers of Weapons, The Ring, la franquicia ITy Paranormal Activity.
