Lionsgate debuted the first official looks at the adventure-survival thriller Fall 2sequel to the box office hit Fall (2022).
The sequel, Vertigo 2directed by Michael y Peter Spierig (Jigsaw, Daybreakers), also known as The Spierig Brothersended production in 2025 in Thailand, with Harriet Slater (Outlander: Blood of My Blood), Arsema Thomas (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story) y Tom Brittney (Grantchester), in leading roles.
Plot details tell us:
“Overwhelmed by the death of her sister Hunter, Jax (Slater) connects with Luce (Thomas), Hunter's fearless friend. To heal, attempt the famous Mount Kwan plank walk in Thailand. After a sudden rockfall leaves them trapped on a fragile board 3,000 feet above sea level, Jax must face her deepest fears and fight to survive to find peace.”
The script was co-written by Scott Mann y Jonathan Frankco-writers of the first film, also directed by Mann.
The plot of Falltitled in our region Vertigorevolved around best friends Becky and Hunter (Grace Caroline Currey y Virginia Gardner), who climb a remote and abandoned radio tower in the desert, becoming trapped at the top of the tower, 600 meters above the ground.
It was initially said that Currey and Gardner would return for the sequel, but this does not appear to be the case.
The thriller had a positive run in theaters upon its release in August 2022, grossing a global box office of $17 million, against a budget of just $3 million. This was more than enough for Lionsgate and the production company Tea Shop Productions They gave the green light not to one sequel, but to two sequels, Fall 2 y Fall 3.
And although Mann handed over directing the sequel, he is scheduled to return to write and direct the third installment. What dangerously tall structure will the characters be trapped in this time?
James Harris y Mark Lane de Tea Shop Productions (47 Meters Down) return as producers alongside Mann, Christian Mercuri, and David Haring. Dan Asma, John Long, and Roman Viaris return as executive producers alongside Ruzanna Kegeyan.
Lionsgate will release Fall 2 in theaters August 7, 2026.
