Netflix debuted on official trailer for the second season from his comedy series The Four Seasonsbased on the 1981 film of the same name.
The group of fun friends returns to find themselves at a crossroads, as the trailer for the film titled in our region as The four seasonsavailable at the end of the note.
After the death of Nick (Steve Carell) in the first season, Anne (Kerri Kenney-Silver), Kate (Tina Fey), Jack (Will Forte), Danny (Colman Domingo) and Claude (Marco Calvani) continue their tradition of traveling together, this time to Italy, while setting out to create new traditions, with a baby (or two).
We'll see Jack struggle to adjust to life without Nick and cling to his traditions in an attempt to stop the change. Kate is also scared by how the group has changed and hasn't yet found a way to tell her friends; Danny and Claude face the decision to have a baby and change their lifestyle forever; while Ginny and Anne find ways to navigate a new dynamic following Nick's passing.
Fey is the co-creator, co-showrunner, executive producer and screenwriter, along with Tracey Wigfield y Lang Fisher. Fisher is also one of the directors. Previously, the three collaborated on the beloved NBC sitcom, 30 Rockcreated by Fey.
Fisher explained about the second season (via Tudum):
“We used Nick's passing to kick off this season, because his presence was really, really important. When you lose someone so pivotal, the group tends to lose its central figure.”
In the first season, Nick (Carell) tells them that he is leaving Anne (Kenney-Silver). Shortly after, he begins dating his dental hygienist, Ginny (Erika Henningsen), who does everything possible to gain the favor of the sometimes stubborn and close-knit group. The season ended with a heart-stopping finale: Ginny announces that she is pregnant.
What's coming in the second season has all the earmarks of being more chaotic.
Fey, Wigfield and Fisher return as showrunners, writers, directors, and executive producers for the second season, with Alan Alda –director, screenwriter and star of the 1981 film– as producer, along with Marissa Bregman.
Other executive producers include David Miner, Eric Gurian and Jeff Richmond. Universal Television produces it.
The second season of The Four Seasons premieres on Netflix on May 28.
