Ingredients
1 cup milk
1 cup water
1 tablespoon black tea
1 teaspoon chopped ginger
1 tablespoon sugar or sweetener of your choice
4 cardamom pods
4 cloves
Ground cinnamon to taste
Directions
- Pour the milk into a saucepan or milk pot and heat over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Remove from the heat and set aside.

- In another saucepan, add the water, cloves, chopped ginger, cardamom seeds, black tea, and sugar or sweetener.
- Mix well, place over medium heat, and bring to a boil. Then let it simmer for 10 minutes.

- Combine the spice mixture with the boiled milk, stir well, and cook over low heat for a few more minutes.
- Add ground cinnamon to taste and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes, strain, and serve the Indian tea hot.
