This delicious Indian tea turns simple ingredients into wellness.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 tablespoon black tea

  • 1 teaspoon chopped ginger

  • 1 tablespoon sugar or sweetener of your choice

  • 4 cardamom pods

  • 4 cloves

  • Ground cinnamon to taste

Directions

  • Pour the milk into a saucepan or milk pot and heat over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Remove from the heat and set aside.
  • In another saucepan, add the water, cloves, chopped ginger, cardamom seeds, black tea, and sugar or sweetener.
  • Mix well, place over medium heat, and bring to a boil. Then let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Combine the spice mixture with the boiled milk, stir well, and cook over low heat for a few more minutes.
  • Add ground cinnamon to taste and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes, strain, and serve the Indian tea hot.
