The franchise Scary Movie is back, and no one is safe.
The new delivery promised mock politics, woke culture, and “cross all lines”and to show a button, since Paramount Pictures has just released a group of official posters in which the film parodies some of its new victims, among them: The Substance, Weapons, Get Out, Ma, Smile, Nopeand the next to be released in theaters, Backrooms.
This is the first film in the saga in thirteen years, so it has a lot of material to make fun of. Other confirmed films he will parody include Halloween, Friday the 13th, Terrifier, M3GAN, Longlegs, Midsummerthe series Wednesday y Squid Gameel slasher I Know What You Did Last Summerand of course, his main inspiration since the beginning of the franchise: Scream.
The newly released posters are accompanied by small and fun phrases alluding to the film in question, for example, the poster for Get Out says: “They asked the director of GET OUT for a sequel, and he said NOPE.” The one of Weapons says, “Last year at 2:17 a.m., Anna Faris tripped while sending a text message, and accidentally agreed to do another one.” While that of Backrooms He advances, “What happens in the back room, stays in the back room.”
