Ingredients
1 package of Maria biscuits
400 g semi-sweet chocolate for coating
1 jar of good-quality, firm dulce de leche
Directions
- Spread a little dulce de leche on one biscuit, place another biscuit on top, and gently press them together. Spread a little more dulce de leche on the top biscuit and finish by placing another biscuit on top.

- Repeat the process with the remaining biscuits until you have used them all, arranging the alfajores on a serving tray as you assemble them.
- Melt the chopped semi-sweet chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, or melt it using a double boiler. Dip the alfajores into the melted chocolate, remove them with a fork, and let the excess chocolate drip off.

- Place the chocolate-coated alfajores side by side on a baking sheet as you dip them, and let the chocolate coating set at room temperature.
- Once the chocolate coating has completely dried and hardened, the alfajores are ready to serve. Keep them refrigerated when not being eaten.
