One year after Netflix announced that he would “rescue” the series Manifest – which was canceled by his then house, NBC – and ordered a fourth and final season that will help close his arguments, the streamer reveals the premiere date of Part 1 of the final season of the series.
will be the November 4, 2022 when Netflix debuts this first part on its platform. The fourth season will consist of 10 episodes per part, that is, a total of 20 episodes.
Curiously, the announcement was made on August 28 (in American format, 828, at 8:28 am) with a nod to Montego Air Flight 828 at the center of the story.
Manifest revolves around Montego Air Flight 828, which landed safely after a turbulent but routine flight, leaving the crew and passengers feeling relieved. Yet in the span of those few hours, the world aged five years, and his friends, family, and colleagues, after mourning his loss, gave up hope and moved on. Now, faced with the impossible, everyone has a second chance. But as their new realities become clearer, a deeper mystery unfolds and some of the returning passengers soon realize they may be destined for something greater than they ever thought possible on this unexpected and emotionally rich journey to a world based on hope, heart and destiny.
In the weeks leading up to Day 828, fans of Manifest have rewatched previous seasons on the streamer, placing the series in Netflix’s weekly Top 10 for English-language series.
Jinny Howe, head of drama at Netflix, confirmed to Deadline that this will be the final season, and that the stories will indeed have a conclusion:
“That is the plan currently, at least in terms of whether there will be a satisfactory resolution for the season. At the end of the season, we will deliver some answers, that is, all questions will be answered.
