Follow the step by step:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of wheat flour

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • A bit of salt

  • 300g of ground beef

  • 1 small onion chopped

  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped

  • 1 chopped tomato

  • 1/2 chopped pepper (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder (optional)

  • Chopped parsley or coriander (optional)

Directions

  • Start by preparing the pancake batter.
In a bowl, mix the wheat flour and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg and then add the milk and oil.
    Mix well.
  • Pour the liquid mixture over the flour mixture and stir until a homogeneous dough is obtained.
If desired, you can use a blender to obtain a smoother mixture.
  • Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with a little oil.
  • Pour a small portion of the batter into the pan and swirl it around so that the batter evenly covers the bottom.
Cook until the underside is golden, then flip the pancake and cook the other side.
Repeat until you run out of batter, stacking the pancakes on a plate as they are ready.
  • To make the ground beef filling, heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté until golden.
  • Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until completely browned and cooked through.
  • Add the chopped tomato and pepper to the ground meat and cook for a few more minutes until the vegetables soften.
  • Season with salt, pepper, cumin and paprika to taste.
Add chopped parsley or cilantro, if desired, for more flavor.
  • To assemble the pancakes, place a portion of the ground meat filling in the center of each pancake and fold the edges to seal them.
  • Serve the ground beef pancakes hot, accompanied by your choice of sauce, such as tomato sauce or chili sauce.
