For your strawberry pavé to be incredible, use the ingredients below and follow the preparation instructions.
Ingredients
1 can of condensed milk
2 cans of milk (use the empty condensed milk can to measure)
3 egg yolks
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
1 package of cornstarch cookies
2 cups fresh strawberries, washed and chopped
1 cup of cream
2 tablespoons of sugar
Whole strawberries to decorate
Directions
- In a pan, mix the condensed milk, milk, egg yolks and cornstarch.
Place over medium heat and stir continuously until the cream thickens.
This should take about 10 minutes. - Remove the cream from the heat and add the vanilla essence.
Let the cream cool completely. - In a container, mix the cream with the sugar until you obtain a firm whipped cream.
- Now, it’s time to assemble the pavé.
On a platter, start with a layer of cornstarch cookies at the bottom. - Then add a layer of the cream you prepared.
- Add half of the chopped strawberries over the cream.
- Repeat layers, starting with cookies, followed by cream and finally strawberries.
- On top, put the whipped cream you prepared.
- Decorate the pavé with whole strawberries.
- Place the pavé in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
