Kuroki Nagisa «Gatsby» – My new preference for Japanese music must have gotten around by now :-). And so today I would like to introduce you to an artist from Japan who I think you should know. Kuroki Nagisa used to be part of an indie trio of the same name, but then continued solo under her name after the other members left and impresses with her enthusiasm for experimentation. Sometimes there are psychedelic indie rock songs, then very strange art pop. The latest single should also be easily digestible for western ears, but as a bonus there is something from the “weird (but good)” section.
Lætitia Sadier “Another Wait” – However, the Stereolab singer Lætitia Sadier, who also shines from time to time with chic solo excursions away from the main band, is probably well known to most of the blog’s readers. The new single from the album “Rooting for Love”, which will be released in February, is also fun again.
