Ingredients
2 cups of wheat flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
1 pinch of salt
2 eggs
1 cup of milk
Frying oil
Sugar and cinnamon for sprinkling
Directions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon (if using) and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the milk.Â
Mix well. - Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
- Heat the oil in a deep pan to approximately 170-180°C.
- Using two spoons, form dough balls and place them in the hot oil to fry.Â
Don’t add too many dumplings at once to prevent them from sticking together. - Fry the dumplings until they are golden on all sides.Â
Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the pan and place them on paper towels to absorb the excess oil. - In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon to taste.Â
Pass the dumplings while they are still hot in this mixture, ensuring that they are well covered. - Serve the dry cakes and enjoy!
