Ingredients
3 medium apples, peeled and chopped
2 cups of wheat flour
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
A bit of salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Grease and flour a cake pan. - In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
Reserve. - In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the sugar, oil and vanilla essence.
Mix well. - Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Add the chopped apples to the dough and stir gently to combine.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
