Ingredients

  • 3 medium apples, peeled and chopped

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • A bit of salt

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. 
    Grease and flour a cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. 
    Reserve.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the sugar, oil and vanilla essence. 
    Mix well.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  • Add the chopped apples to the dough and stir gently to combine.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
