Ingredients
200g semi-sweet (or milk) chocolate, chopped
1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
2 tablespoons of butter
Directions
- In a bowl, place the chopped chocolate and set aside.
- In a pan, heat the cream over medium heat until it starts to boil.
- Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate.
Let sit for a minute to allow the heat from the cream to melt the chocolate. - Stir the mixture until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add the butter to the chocolate mixture and stir until the butter is completely melted.
- Let the frosting cool slightly before applying to the cake.
If it is too liquid, let it cool a little more until it reaches the desired consistency. - Pour the frosting over the cake, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
