Ingredients

  • Ripe bananas (desired quantity)

  • Frying oil

  • Sugar (optional)

  • Cinnamon powder (optional)

Directions

  • Peel the bananas and cut them into slices or the desired shape.
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. 
    Make sure there is enough oil to cover the banana slices.
  • When the oil is hot, add the banana slices to the pan. 
    Don’t add too many at once to avoid them clumping together.
  • Fry the bananas until they are golden on both sides. 
    This usually only takes a few minutes. 
    Use a slotted spoon to turn the banana slices, if necessary.
  • Remove the fried bananas from the pan and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  • If desired, sprinkle sugar and ground cinnamon over the fried bananas to add a sweet touch. 
    This is completely optional and depends on your personal taste.
  • Serve the fried plantains immediately while they are still hot and crispy.
