Learn how to make this oat pancake with the ingredients below and following the step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rolled oats

  • 1 cup of milk (can be cow’s milk, vegetable milk, such as almond, soy, etc.)

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, to sweeten)

  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

  • Oil or butter to grease the pan

Directions

  • In a blender, mix the oats and milk until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • Add the egg, honey (if using), baking powder, salt and vanilla extract to the blender.
Blend until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Let the dough rest for a few minutes so the oats absorb the liquid and the mixture thickens a little.
  • Heat a frying pan over medium heat and grease with oil or butter.
  • Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter into the heated skillet.
Cook until bubbles start to form on the surface of the pancake and the edges start to turn golden.
  • Flip the pancake and cook the other side until golden.
  • Repeat the process with the rest of the dough.
  • Serve the pancakes hot, accompanied by fresh fruit, maple syrup, yogurt or other ingredients of your choice.
