Ingredients
2 cups of wheat flour
1/2 cup cold butter, cut into cubes
1/4 cup ice water
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cans of drained tuna
1 medium onion chopped
1/2 cup chopped green or black olives (optional)
1/2 cup green corn (optional)
1/2 cup peas (optional)
1 cup grated cheese (any cheese of your choice)
3 eggs
1 cup of cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Mix the wheat flour and salt in a bowl.
- Add the butter and mix until it forms a crumb texture.
- Add the ice water little by little, mixing until the dough is homogeneous.
- Form the dough into a ball, cover with plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- In a bowl, mix the drained tuna, onion, olives, corn, peas and grated cheese.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the cream.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. - Combine the egg mixture with the dry ingredients and set aside.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and line a tart pan (approximately 25 cm in diameter).
- Pour the filling over the dough.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40-45 minutes, or until the pie is golden and firm.
- Let the pie cool slightly before slicing.
Serve hot or at room temperature.
