Ingredients

  • 250g pasta (can be spaghetti, penne, fusilli, etc.)

  • 1 can of tuna in water or olive oil

  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped

  • 1 small onion chopped

  • 1 can of peeled tomatoes or tomato sauce

  • Olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Grated cheese (optional)

  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Directions

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve.
  • While the pasta cooks, heat some olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the garlic and chopped onion to the pan and sauté until soft and lightly browned.
  • Add the tuna to the pan and mix well with the onion and garlic, letting it cook for a few minutes.
  • Add the peeled tomatoes or tomato sauce to the pan and mix well. Let it cook for a few more minutes until the sauce is heated through and the flavors blend.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce in the skillet, ensuring the pasta is well coated in the sauce.
  • Serve the pasta with tuna on individual plates, sprinkling grated cheese and chopped parsley on top, if desired.
