Lionsgate revealed the Official trailer of the sequel of catastrophe cinema, Greenland 2: Migrationwhere the Garrity family will face new threats to be forced to leave their refuge in the bunker in Greenland.
These include more meteorites, a tsunami, a radiation storm, among others.
The sequel to Greenland (2020), has the returns of the protagonists Gerard Butler y Brunette baccarinthat of the director Ric Roman Waugh and the screenwriter Chris sparling.
The plot places us five years later to the initial impact of a kite that decimated much of the earth, with Butler as John Garrity and Baccarin as his wife, Allison Garrity, and his son, played by Roman Griffin Davis (Jojo Rabbit), facing another catastrophic event when a rain of interstellar comets impacts the terrestrial atmosphere.
After fighting for life in a Greenland bunker, the anguished Garrity family decides to abandon that security and navigate the shattered and radioactive moor of Europe in search of a new home.
“I will take care of both until my last breath,” John tells his family at a time when the end of the world is coming.

“The sequel will follow the Garrity family once again, which survives an event close to extinction when an interstellar comet hits the earth and must abandon the safety of the Greenland bunker and embark on a dangerous trip through the decimated frozen waste of Europe to find a new home.
Thunder Road Pictures and G-Base produce the feature film with Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Butler, Alan Siegel, Sebastien Raybaud, John Zois, Brendon Boyea and Waugh as producers.
The first film, which became a success in visualizations upon arrival at VOD platforms, follows the structural engineer John Garrity (Butler) and his wife Allison (Baccarin), who find the life of his family upset by the unexpected diversion of a planet destructive kite that will fall on the earth. They then embark on a dangerous trip to Greenland, hoping to survive what could be possibly devastating circumstances for the world.
Greenland He planned its cinemas for June 2020, however, with the massive closure of cinemas, Stxfilms, distributor of the film, decided to rule out the large screen debut and chose to launch it directly on VOD platforms in December 2020.
