Next December 16, 17 and 18, 2024, Nosferatufrom the screenwriter and director Robert Eggerswill launch the event Nosferatu: The Immersive Experience en el Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

This is one of the oldest cemeteries in Los Angeles, CA. The event will take guests to experience the world of the film ahead of the theatrical release of the remake of the horror classic. Tickets can be purchased through the official site.

The official site describes the event as follows:

“Reality fades into the shadows of cinema as we celebrate the premiere of Robert Eggers' next film, Nosferatu. The famous Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles is hosting an exclusive 3-night live experience that will transport guests to the gothic setting of the film. Explore carefully curated dark spaces filled with screen-used props, hidden artifacts, relics and costumes. Delight in the haunting soundscape and epic score by the film's composer, Robin Carolan. Find strange inhabitants. Experience the world of the film before its release on December 25.”

Eggers' remake stars Bill Skarsgård as Nosferatu/Count Orlok, Lily-Rose Depp (The Idol, Silent Night), Nicholas Hoult (The Menu, Renfield), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kraven the Hunter, Nocturnal Animals), Emma Corrin (The Crown, My Policeman), Simon McBurney (The Conjuring 2, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation), Ralph Ineson (The Witch, The Northman), y Willem Dafoe (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, The Lighthouse) as Professor Albin Eberthart Von Franz, vampire hunter.

The marketing of Nosferatu is keeping Skarsgård's characterization a secret until the film's release in December.

SYNOPSIS:

“In the new reinvention, Nosferatu is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman (Lily-Rose Depp) in 19th century Germany and the ancient vampire of Transylvania (Bill Skarsgard) who stalks her, bringing with him unspeakable horror.”

Eggers wrote and directed the remake, as well as producing it alongside Jeff Robinov, John Graham, Chris Columbus and Eleanor Columbus.

Eggers earned critical and audience recognition with his debut feature, the independent horror film The Witch (2016), which is classified by many as their favorite of the modern times genre. In 2019 he presented his second feature film, the also acclaimed film The Lighthouse, while in 2022 he launched his thirdthe epic Viking revenge adventure, The Northman.

The original 1922 silent film and German horror classic was directed by German director Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau. His script unofficially adapts the story of Bram Stroker's book, Draculaproviding the audience with an image that became an icon for cinematographic culture. In 1979, Werner Herzog directed another version of the classic.

Nosferatu premieres December 25, 2024 in theaters from the United States via Focus Featuresy January 1 in Mexico and the rest of Latin America via Universal Pictures.
