“Today is the day,” warns marketing in a New official trailer of the Dramatic horror thriller The Woman in the Yard of the filmmaker Jaume Collet-Serra.
With a premiere fixed on cinemas by the end of this month, Universal Pictures and Blumhouse studies share the second advance of the project starring Danielle Deadwyler (Carry On, I Saw the TV Glow), who one day sees a lonely and strange woman dressed in black, appears in the front garden of her home with disturbing messages, without any explanation.

The cast also includes Russell Hornsby (BMF, Grimm, The Hate You Give), Lease (The Exorcist: Believer), Peyton Jackson (Respect) y Estella is a (BMF).
Official synopsis:
“A mysterious woman who appears repeatedly in the front courtyard of a family, often delivering chilling warnings or disturbing messages, leaving residents by questioning their identity, their motives and the potential danger it could represent.”
Deadwyler plays Ramona, “a woman paralyzed by pain after surviving a car accident that takes her husband (Hornsby). Seriously wounded, Ramona must now take care of her 14 -year -old son (Jackson) and her 6 -year -old daughter (Kahiha, alone at her rural home. Then, one day, the woman takes shape in her garden.
“Ramona assumes that the woman (Okpokwasili) is lost or insane, but as the woman gets closer and more to the house, it is clear that she is not a common figure and her intentions are anything but peaceful. Now Ramona must unite to protect herself and her children from the claws of the woman who simply does not leave them alone. “
The project marks a new collaboration between Deadwyler and Collet-Serra, after the actress was part of the filmmaker's previous feature film, Carry Onreleased in Netflix in December.
Deadwyler has starred in other feature films such as Till, The Harder They Fall, y The Piano Lesson.
Collet-Serra directs the script written by Stefanak himself.
Collet-Serra is the executive producer together with Deadwyler, Gabrielle Ebron, Scott Greenberg, and James Bora. The producers are Jason Blum and Stephanie Allain.
Universal Pictures is scheduled The premiere of THE WOMAN OF THE SHADOWS By March 28, 2025 in Cinemas.
