The horror project Whistlefrom the director Corin Hardy (The Nun), continues to prepare the audience for its theatrical release with a new official trailer.
With launch set for on February 5 in Mexicoby Corazón Films, under the title The sound of deathand for on February 6 in the United Statesbeing distributed by Independent Film Company (IFC) –formerly IFC Films– and Shudder, the studios share the most recent preview of this project Rated R focused on a group of misfit high school students who discovers that the Using an ancient Aztec death whistle, he invokes their future deaths to hunt them down..

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
“Whistle follows how a group of misfit and unsuspecting high school students stumble upon a cursed object: an ancient Aztec death whistle. They soon discover that by blowing the whistle and the terrifying sound it emits, they will summon their future deaths to hunt them down. As the death toll rises, the friends investigate the origin of the deadly artifact in a desperate effort to stop the horrifying chain of events they have unleashed.”
The film is based on the short story by Owen Egerton (Mercy Black, Blood Fest, The Axe Murders of Villisca) being himself in charge of adapting the script for the feature film directed by Hardy.
Hardy previously explained about the project and his inspiration:
“Whistle is made with the same emotional, outcast teen spirit found in my favorite genre films I grew up with. I was drawn to the mysterious mythology surrounding 'Death Whistle' and how it gave me the opportunity to create a variety of imaginative and terrifying cinematic deaths. This film is made for the big screen, so I can't wait for audiences to experience it with Independent Film Company and Shudder in theaters!”
The producers of Whistle They are David Gross and Jesse Shapira for No Trace Camping, and Macdara Kelleher for Wild Atlantic Pictures. John Friedberg is the executive producer.
