20th Century Studios has the slasher marketing campaign underway Psycho Killerstarring Georgina Campbellin his return to the horror genre after playing the lead role in Barbarian.
By the way, the studio promotes the project as: “From the twisted writer of Se7en y 8MMand the producers of Barbarianand a producer of Weapons”.
In the film, Campbell plays Jane Thorne, a Kansas police officer who tracks down a killer after her husband, a highway patrolman, becomes one of his victims.
The new poster shared by the studio focuses on Campbell being stalked by said serial killer. Take a look at the end of the note.
In addition to Campbell the main cast includes James Preston Rogers (The Blackening), Grace Dove (The Revenant), Logan Miller (Escape Room), y Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange, Halloween).
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
“Following the brutal murder of her husband, a Kansas Highway Patrol officer (Campbell) sets out on a journey to find the culprit. As the search continues, she realizes that the person responsible (James Preston Rogers) is a sadistic serial killer, and that the depth of his mental depravity and sinister plans are more twisted than anyone could have imagined.”
Gavin Polone directs the script was written by Andrew Kevin Walker (Se7en, 8MM, The Killer). This is Polone's directorial debut; Polone is a producer known for Zombieland y Panic Room.
The producers are Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, Matt Berensony Robert Kulzer. The executive producers are Andrew Kevin Walker y Katherine Landsberg.
Psycho Killer opens in theaters on February 20, 2026a week before the premiere of Scream 7which means that we will have two consecutive weekends with slasher horror film releases.
The month of February is painted red for different reasons.
