A24 continues to prepare the audience for the theatrical release of the three-time Golden Globe winner, The Brutalistfrom the screenwriter and director Brady Corbet (The Crowded Room), one of the studio's proposals this awards season, which is emerging as one of the safe bets for the Oscar.
Corbet directs a cast headed by Adrien Brody (The Pianist), Felicity Jones (Theory of Everything), Guy Pearce (Memento) y Joe Alwyn (Kinds of Kindness).
the movie chronicles the journey of Hungarian-born Jewish architect László Tóth (Brody), who immigrated to the United States in 1947. At first, he was forced to work in poverty, but soon landed a contract with shady benefactors when his talent is favored by ambitious aristocrat Harrison Lee Van Buren (Pearce).
The latest in the marketing campaign is a new official trailer reminding audiences that it will have a wide release in all theaters in the United States next week.

The film was shot in VistaVision, a cinematographic format that aims to project clear images in widescreen format without losing quality. It was created by Paramount Pictures.
Corbet wrote the story with Here Fastvold. They both co-wrote the scripts for The Sleepwalker (2014), The Childhood of a Leader (2015) y Vox Lux (2018). The first of them directed by Fastvold, and the other two directed by Corbet.
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
“When visionary architect László Toth and his wife Erzsébet flee postwar Europe in 1947 to rebuild their legacy and see the birth of modern America, their lives are changed by a mysterious, wealthy client.”
Filming took place partly in Hungary. The budget was less than $10 million dollars.
Corbet won the Silver Lion for Best Director at the Venice Film Festival for his work on The Brutalist. The feature film has a duration of 215 minutes.
Producers include Corbet, Trevor Matthew, Nick Gordon, Brian Young, Andrew Morrison, Andrew Lauren, and DJ Gugenheim.
A24 premieres The Brutalist with wide release on January 24, 2025 in the US. In Mexico and the rest of Latin America will be distributed by Universal Pictures February 6.
