The action thriller The Neglected has just announced its leading trio as it wraps up filming in Mississippi.
According to Deadline reports, Josh Duhamel (Shotgun Wedding, Buddy Games), Dylan Sprouse (Aftermath, The Duel) y Til Schweiger (The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Inglorious Basterds), are in charge of the main roles of the project directed, co-written and produced by David Lipper (Murder at Hollow Creek).
In the film, Detective Shaw (Duhamel) is about to retire when, on his last day on the job, he discovers that a serial killer has buried his son alive. So he races against the clock to solve three murders and find his son's location before he runs out of air.
The cast also includes Jeremy London (Murder at Hollow Creek), Jason London (Murder at Hollow Creek), y Elena Sanchez (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire).
Lipper and Adam G. Levine they wrote the script.
Producers include Lipper, Levine, Robert A. Daly Jr, Mark Canton, Dorothy Canton, Denise Loren, Mark Fasano and Ryan Winsterstern. Executive producers are Roman Kopelevich, Justin Levine, Timothy Alek Mulley and Kimberly Hines.
Red Sea Media is handling sales.
In a statement to the outlet, producer Daly Jr. shared:
“David, the director, has championed this project for years. “We couldn’t be more excited to see this project come to fruition.”
Lipper stated:
“I think audiences will relate to the big question Shaw (Duhamel) faces in this film: Who and what have we neglected in our lives and what is the cause and effect of that?”
Filming took place entirely in the town of Clinton, Hinds County, Mississippi.
