'Alien: Romulus' surpasses $300 MDD at the global box office

Alien: Romulus continues to make a strong entrance in cinemas around the world.

With 24 days of exhibition in cinemas, the new installment of the horror and science fiction saga Aliendirected and co-written by Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead) reaches huge figures at the box office.

The project is described as “an original independent feature film.” The plot is set between the timeline of Alien (1979) by Ridley Scott, and the sequel Aliens (1986) by James Cameron.

An important fact about this new film is that unlike the other installments that focused on adults in corporate, military and scientific roles, this ninth installment of the franchise focuses on a group of young people.

Alvarez co-wrote the script with his frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues (remake Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe, Don’t Breathe 2remake Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and produced the feature film in company of Ridley Scottdirector of the original classic and the prequels Prometheus y Alien: Covenant.
