The adventure and horror franchise Anaconda of Sony Picturesannounced that the development of a new delivery with Paul Rudd and Jack Black in leading roles.
Deadline reports explain that the agreements are not signed at the moment, and the actors are holding negotiations to take on the main roles. Talks have been underway for some time.
Tom Gormican y Kevin Etten they wrote the script. They both wrote the script for The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. There are plans for Gormican to direct the project.
Brad Fuller and Andrew Form will produce.
The media explains that This is NOT a remake but a new version with the same snake protagonist and a story that leans more towards comedy.

The original 1997 film follows a film crew who are taken hostage by a mad hunter, forcing them to continue their quest to capture the world's largest and deadliest snake, an anaconda. The film performed positively at the box office, grossing $145 million worldwide, including $65 million at the domestic box office. The cast was led by Jennifer Lopez, Jon Voight, Ice Cube and Owen Wilson.
The sequel was released in 2004. Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchidwhose plot revolves around a scientific expedition that sets off in Borneo to find the Blood Orchid, which offers longevity, but when they arrive at the place they discover that a nest of anacondas found it first. It featured a new cast led by Morris Chestnut, KaDee Strickland, Eugene Byrd, and Johnny Messner.
